Charleston National A Mount Pleasant Golf Community

Charleston National community is a golf community located in Mount Pleasant South Carolina. The Charleston National golf course was designed to be a private golf course built to resemble Augusta National. Designer Reese Jones designed the course along the coastal wetlands, lagoons and Intra-Coastal Waterway. The course has some of the best coastal views in the southeast. In 1989, shortly after the grand opening, Hurricane Hugo devastated the course tearing down several thousand trees. In 1991, after renovation and redesign Charleston National was reopened as a semi private course. The club includes a practice center and restaurant called The Grill.

The subdivision itself is a lovely neighborhood that has many opportunities to live with views of the magnificent course. Charleston National is situated on 740 acres of property overlooking the marshland of Hamlin Sound, the Intra-Coastal Waterway and the Isle of Palms. Homes in Charleston National County Club are generally priced from $250,000 to 850,000+, with square footage ranging between 1600 and 3600+. There are currently pre-owned Single Family Residences as well as newly constructed Town Homes available for resale.
