East Cooper Regional Medical Center is building a 140-bed acute care hospital to serve as a replacement for the current facility. This new replacement hospital will better serve the needs of our community. The facility will be situated on 52 acres adjacent to the current campus and located at the intersection of Mathis Ferry Road and Interstate 526. There will be 10 surgical suites, a 10-bed level II neonatal nursery, 16 bed medical surgical unit for womens services, expanded emergency department and comprehensive Obstetrical services. The new five-story hospital will have approximately 250,000 square feet of space. The construction will feature the newest design elements that provide patient and visitor friendly entrances and waiting areas. The new facility will include plenty of convenient parking and roads that improve traffic patterns in and around the campus. It will be designed to meet the latest hurricane and earthquake building code requirements. The new hospital will be “green-friendly.” | |

- Imaging, Laboratory and Pharmacy
